At the Empire chan pionship meeting at the Crystal Palace the ten miles cycling championship was won by Kingsbury, of the United Kingdom by two lengths. Time, 25min. 35 4-ssec. Denny, of the United Kingdom, was second, and a length ahead of Scheider of Xew South Wales, who was third. Taylor was sixth. In the 100 yds. Inter-Empire Swimming Championship, Hardwick. of New South Wales, was first. Time, 03 3-ssec. Derbyshire was second, and Johnson, of Canada, third. The Mile Swimming Championship was won by Hodgson, of Canada, by 30 yards. Time, 25min. 27 3-ssec. Battersby, of the United Kingdom, was second. The champion led for eleven lengths, and then tired. In the Hundred Yards Invitation, Innocent, of London, with Osee. start, was first by a touch. Time, 73 l-ssec. Findlay (4sec.) was second, and Tartakover (ssec.) third, Woodsland (Usee.) coming fourth, and Raskins (osec.) fifth. In the Amateur Athletic Championship at Stamford Bridge (half-mile flat race) Braun, of Germany, was first by six yards. Time, Imin 59 4-ssee. Wheatley, of Victoria, was second, and three yards ahead of Brock, of Canada, who finished third.
