WAITARA HARBOR BOARD MATTERS
To the Editor. Sir,—lt was refreshing to get such a : straight/out expression of opinion on the above topic by your correspondent, "Let .there be light."' As a very old resident. I can heartily endorse everything your correspondent says. He says he is at a loss to understand Mr. nine's action. Well, if he knew the ropes'as well as 1 do he wouldn't wonder much. It is the old story of "the money, the cat and the chestnuts" over again. I have nothing against Mr. Cameron. He has certainly been an honest servant,, but he should have accepted the situation gracefully, and saved his friends from making such exhibitions of both him and themselves.- He has a record term of service, and he has always applied .his leisure time profitably, so that his retirement means nothing in the shape of a financial loss to him,--1 am, etc., ARGUS. Waitara. 30/6/11.
