LEPPERTON. (From Our Own Correspondent.) At the progressive euchre party on Tuesday evening last Miss D. Klenncr won the ladies' prize, a hand-bag, ana Messrs. Munro and T. Giddy played off for the gentleman's prize, also a handbag, which was won by Mr. Giddy. The attendance at these functions, which are held in aid of the local hall funds, has been very good during the winter. Farms are changing hands. Mr. Dodd sold to Mr. Taylor, of Salisbury road, Midhirst, and Mr. Merrin has purchased Mr. Houndsborough's property on the Wortley Toad. The quarterly meeting of the Waitara circuit will be held in the local Methodist Church on Thursday next, duly 6, at 3 p.m. After the meeting a tea and concert will be held. The programme is in the hands of the members of the Waitara choir, and will no doubt ue up to the usual high-class style. The factory is now running only on every third day. I am in receipt of an invitation card to the Lepperton ball, and am assured by one of the eommittee that no pains are being spared to make it an even greater attraction than in former years.
