A country coachbuilder, giving evidence before, the Labor Supply 'Commission, stated that last week he refused £4OO worth of orders because he was unable to obtain skilled labor. IMPORTING TEACHERS. Sydney, June 29. In the Assembly Mr. Beeby said that owing to the shortage of school teachers he would endeavor to bring fifty,from England. Received 29, 10 p.m. Sydney, June 29. The Hon. G. S. Beeby (Minister for Education), replying to questions in the Assembly regarding the shortage of public school teachers, said the Government proposes to import fifty English teachers to meet immediate demands, and tc nuke the service more attractive so as to secure a p-operly qualified staff.
