In the Assembly Mr. Storey, leader of the Independent Rirty, announced his intention to oppose a new industrial Bill. This may moan jeopardising the position of the Government in regard to the Bill. SOUTH AUSTRALIAN PARLIAMENT. DRASTIC REFORMS FORESHADOWED Received 2!), 1.5 a.m. I Adelaide, June 28. The Governor opened Parliament and announced a credit balance at the end oi June o# .£200,000, which will be used in reducing the public debt. Proposed legislation includes the purchase and control of wharves, railways to open up the malice scrub lands for settlement, adult suffrage for Legislative Council, a Bill for the settlement of deadlocks between the two Houses, and an Arbitration Act. The Government intend to establish brickworks, and a wood yard to supply the public with firewood. A Supply Bill of half a million sterling was passed, and both Houses ad- | journcd until Tuesday, when Mr. Peake moves a want of confidence motion on
the administrative acts of the Government during the recess.
