The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Co. advertise entries for their opening sale at Kohuratahi yards on /Friday next, June 30. "I don't care if it snows" is a popular expression in winter time. It can be made use of with some degree of defiance if you are clad in one of the rainproof coats Messrs. Morey and Son advertise in this issue. The firm have a fine assortment and invite inspectiom. At a meeting of the Fitzroy Primitive Methodist Church Trustees, held on Monday night, it was decided to hold a flower show on Thursday, September 21. This should he a great success, as it will be something quite new for Fitzroy.
There is some real enthusiasm on the part of purchasers over the value they get in hats at White and Sons. This is largely due to the excellence of the bargains they are wont to expect at this time of the year. Nor are they in the present instance disappointed with the hats on sale to-day at 7s lid and 10s fid. They are without a doubt the keenest value in the trade at the present moment.
