"THE SCAKLET TROCRADCTCRS." Another very good house greetad "Th® Scarlet Troubadours" last night. A real j treat was provided, and even three ea- • core numbers failed to satisfy the dei lighted audience. Mr. Edgar Warwick, i tac comedian of the company, was fus I droll as ever, and" many aching sides must have remained after last night'* . performance. His imitation of various , players on the piano was splendid. Air, • Ford Waltham, with his. powerful bans voice, did full justice to "Jonathan Jones" and "Drinking." Mr. Alfred Cunningham, besides several other numbers, sang ''Moved, It is Morn," and "The Veterans' Song," and pleased the audi--1 ence immensely. Miss Winifred Birch was in splendid form, aa also was Misses Lily and Rita Fitzgerald. The latter was very taking in her "Three Green Bonnets" and "Isn't it Like a Man?" Some very clever sketches were inada by Mr. Claude Leplastrier, that of "Pelorous Jack" going out to meet a steamer being exceptionally interesting. The audience would liked to have seen more of the lightning sketches. Mr. Leonard Griffiths, who accomjianied the items, is a finished player, and nis- manipulation of the piano was a feature in itself. BIOGRAPH PICTURES. In this issue the management notify patrons that the opening night ia Whiteley Hall has been postponed until' Thursday night, June 29th. Qwing to the very extensive nature of the tions it has heenfound impossible ta open to-night without somewhat inconveniencing patrons, and the management intend that there shall be no hitch o! any sort on the opening dates. The interior of the hall has been completely transformed by Messrs. Bellrkger Bros.' full staff of painters and decorators, -who have (been withdrawn from all other work to expedite the opening of Whiteley Hal). Mr. Saunders has laid himself out to surprise and also comfortably accommodate his picture patrons, and anyone having been privileged to view the interior of the building, as our representative has, will have no hesitation in prophesying a most successful season for the Biograph Pictures in theit new home.
