Last Nij^t. jj" The Meteorological Office has issued the following summary and forecast:— % The .barometer has fallen in the northern it mostdistricts, but has risen considerably j; In the south. Rain has fallen in. the northern and southernmost districts, and in parts elsewhere. Gold and changeable » -weather has been experienced generally. Strong easterly winds have prevailed » northward of Ea«t Cape and Kawhia, f' - and moderate southerly winds elsewhere. Present indications are. for rain, with easterly winds, strong to gale, northward s; of Gisborne and Kawhia, ibut moderate .. to strong south-easterly winds and cold and changeable weather elsewhere. The ' barometer will probably fall slowly in p- the north, hut high pressure will probably prevail everywhere shortly.
