The wheat and Hour afloat for the United Kingdom is .'i,;i50,000 quarters, for the Continent 2,500,000 quarters, and Atlantic shipments 103,000 quarters. The total shipments to Europe amounted to 1,11)0,000 quarters, including Argentine 207,000 quarters Russian 320,000 quarters, Danubian 80,000 quarters, Indian 303,000 quarters, and Australasia 45,000 quarters. Following is the High Commissioner's cajhle under date London, June 25: General.—All markets are quiet, and small business doing on account of Coronation festivities. Mutton. —Holders are firm. The de■i»nd is chiefly for light-weights. Rates have advanced y ß d, viz., Canterbury 4%<1,. North Island 3%d. Heavies are somewhat difficult to sell at about last quotations. Lamb.—Good demand continues. Canterbury 5%d to 4%' d, other than Canterbury 5%d to 4%d. Beef.—The market is weaker and slightly lower. New Zealand hinds 3'/ 2 d, fores 2Va<l; South American chilled beef, 2>/ 4 d to" 3%d. Butter. —No change. Cheese. —The market is steady, with very good demand at last quotations. Hemp. —The market is quiet but firm, ■ with no change in prices.. The output from Manila for the week was 23,000 bales. |
