Poultry.—At the mart on Saturday we had a large entry of. poultry, and prices were well maintained. Ducks and cockerels were in good demand. We quote as follows:—Hens (old) Is 4d to Is 7(1, .young Is (id to 2.«, pullets (young) Is 8d to 2s 3(1, cockerels Is 5d to 2s 10(1, ducks 2s 2d to 2s Gd, drakes 2s to 2s Id, ,p,b, brown Leghorn cockerels 5s to (is, turkey hen 4s, chicks 4d to Od. In the mart we disposed of a large quantity of oats find chaff at satisfactory I prices. Fruit—Fruit for tho ,past week has been fairly plentiful, Sydney fruit arriving and opening in good condition. Prices for the week were: Apples. Nelson, Stunners S.s 9(1 to !)s fill, colored desserts (best) fls, seconds 7s (id to 8s (id, cookers (in short supply), best quality 7s, seconds (is 6(1, mandarins (in gin cases) 9s to Ms (Id, pines lis (id, passions 5s lid to 7s Od (according to quality), lemons Bs, to lis. bananas (scarce) ' 2'/ 4 d (ripe), oranges (originals), wet 5s to os, repacks 10s to 12s fid, peannts (bright and clean Japanese) 2%d. New shipment Fiji bananas due to-day.
