The butter and cheese exhibits were judged to-day. Levin and Cheltenham companies tie for the, points prize .o."'* the New Zealand butter championship under the auspices of the National Dairy Factories' Assocation, with 1 187 points; Bunnythorpe was next with 186 points.

Class 1, box of best export butter,— Cheltenham Dairy Co., 94 points, 1; Glen Orua, Kairanga, Levin, Raetifci, and Stratford companies tied for second place with 83% points. Class 2: Best box of export butter, open to any factory or manager that has not won a prize of £s.—Apiti Dairy Factory, 94 points, 1; Ractihi Dairy Co., 93% 2; Tikorangi Dairy Co., 03, 3. Class , 3.—Best box of export butter, open to" any manager who has not won-a prized at the National Dairy Show: Tikorangi« Dairy Co., 1)4 points, 1; Uruti Dairy Co., 93%, 2; Raetihi Dairy Co., 93, 3. Class 4.—Best box of export butter, open only to members of the New Zealand Dairy Factory Managers' Associa-, tion: Cheltenham Dairy Co., 95 points Kairanga Dairy Co., 94%; Ballanee Dairy Co. (Konini), 94; Apiti Dairy Co., 93'/ 2 . Class 5. —Factory butter from bulk, best box of export butter: Bunnythorpe Dairy Co., 94 points, 1; Apiti Dairy Co., 93%, 2; Defiance, and Kairanga dairy companies, 93 each. Class o.—Bunnythorpe Dairy Co., 94 points, 1; Levin Dairy Co., 93%, 2; Cheltenham Dairy Co., 93, 3. In the cheese classes, Dalefield Factory won the colored cheddar shaped with 94% points, with Taratahi 94 points second. In the white cheddar shaped, Kaponga Dairy. Co. got first and second with 93% points. Dalefield won the New Zealand Shipping Company's challenge cup for highest points in either' class. Tararua won the New Zealand Dairy Factory Managers' Association's challenge cup for the best case of cheese, .with !)4% poipts. Ngaere, won the class for two fully matured factory cheese with 11.)% points, Greytown being second with '95. Kaponga, with 98 points, won the class for the two best loaf cheese.
