Received 20, 1 a.m. London, June 19. Tile Imperial Conference briefly discussed the Commonwealth's resolution recommending uniform coin reform. Sir. J. G. Ward stated that personally lie favored the recognition of sovereigns and dollars. He suggested the commission should consider the possibility of a uniform system.

Mr. I'earce declared that Australians favored the decimal system. Mrs Lloyd-George said the metric system would seriously disorganise commerce, espeeialy the cotton trade. The double system of sovereigns and dollars would cause serious confusion. He did not care to undertake the responsibility of such a revolutionary change. The subject was dropped on Mr. Graaf's resolution.
