Mr. Win. Iverr, S.M., of Wanganui is paying a short visit to New Plymouth.

A Brisbane Press Association message states that Mr. E. Ulley, the eminent K.C., is dead.

An Ottawa cablegram states that the Duke of Connaught is expected to arrive on October 12, three' weeks earlier than was originally planned. Mr. Claude H. Haigh arrived in New Plymouth last night to herald those bright entertainers, the Scarlet Troubadours, who play in New Plymouth on the 20th and 27th inst.

The Rev. A. H. Colville, M.A., the vicar-elect of St! Mary's, New Plymouth, is to be married shortly, and will visit the Old Country before taking up his duties in New Plymouth. Mr. T. H. White died at his residence, Graham street, Auckland, on Monday, at the age of 02 years. Mr. White was born in Auckland, and from June, 1891, onwards was mill manager to the Kauri Timber Company. Mr. ,T. G. Harkness (the secretary of the National Dairy Association of New Zealand) returned to WelliHjgton by the Athenic on Wednesday, after a six months' absence from the Dominion. During the tjme he spent in England he investigated matters concerning the dairying industry, and On the subject he will deliver a comprehensive address on the second day (June 21) of the annual Dairy Conference at the Palmerston North Show.

A Wellington telegram states that Mr. B. M. Mollineaux, manager of the Bank of New South Wales in Wellington, will succeed the late Mr. Finch as inspector for New Zealand for the bank. Mr. W. Birnie has been appointed as-sistant-inspector, and Mr. W. H. Lever, manager at Napier, will become manager at Wellington. Mr. W. Galwey, manager at Masterton, will go to Napier as manager, and Mr, Hodgkins, manager at Ashburton, will succeed Mr. Galwey at Masterton.
