RANDWICK SPRING MEETING. MANY DOMINION HORSES. By Cable —Press Association—Copyright. Received 13, 9.20 p.m. Sydney, June 13. There are indications that New Zealand horse-owners will be largely represented at the forthcoming Randwick spring meeting. Already three Dominion trainers have arranged for accommodation for fourteen horses, and others are expected. AUSTRALIAN JOC'IiEY CLUB. Received 14, 12.30 a.m. .Sydney, June 13. The Legislative Assembly lias agreed to the appointment of a select committee to enquire into the operation ana powers of the Australian Jockey Club in relation to herse racing. TURF TOPICS. (By "Moturoa,") Cloudy Morn has broken dowi. It is intended to take Euroco to the Ilawke's Bay meetings this month. A half-brother to Bobrikoff has been named War Talk. Winners were hard to pick at Ellerslie. Only two favorites won in three days' racing.

The-New Zealand Government, whiGh professes to look upon racing with the cold eye, took close on £2OOO in taxes from the Auckland meeting. It appears that there is trouble over the report sent in by tie Racing Commission, and in all probability the work will have to be done over again. A Palmerston paper states that T. Wilson will take a few horses to 'Stralia shortly. Soultifonn and Silver Bullet are mentioned as likely members of his string. Taranaki owners represented in the New Zealand Cup nominations are few indeed. Mr. T. F. Goddard has Mulga Bill engaged, and Messrs. Matthews have entered Shuja.

Hawke's Bay always supplies a gooa crowd of Cup candidates. Ormond's entries are Birkline, Peary, Miscount, and Ainsdale, and Watt's team Bridge, Midnight Sun, Cheddar, and Montiform. Bridge and Lady Lucy, previous winners, are engaged in this year's Cup. Gunboat is to be sent to Sydney by Friday's steamer and will probably go on to Melbourne, Apropos the above, when the telegram announcing Machine Gun's arrival in Melluuirne reached Sydney, papers in the latter village came out with something like this: "Machine Gun for Melbourne Forts. A machine gun was landed at Melbourne to-day for the forts." They had never heard of Machine Gun, the chanipion sprinter! Antarctic has won five out of the six races he contested this season, and ran second in the other event, the Great Northern Steeplechase. Mr. T. Bowling was lucky to pick up Coryphee, in foal to Salvadan, for ten guineas. The foal was Antarctic. After winning many good races with the horse Mr. T. Bowiing declined an offer of 1500 guineas; and with fair luck should be repaid for his pluck in sticking to the 'chaser in the face of such a good offer. A Hastings telegram states that Corazon has been scratched for all engagements at the Hawke's Bay Jockey Club's winter meeting.
