Wilson (chairman), It. 11. Pigott and G. Bertrand. The chairman reported a credit balance of £2B 9s 9d. Accounts amounting to £3 17s Gd were passed for payment. A hearty vote of thanks was accorded Mr. C. Rowe for his past services on the board.

A meeting will be held here in connection with the proposed railway from Waitara or Lepperton to Urenui. I believe there is going to be a similar gathering at Waitara. It is a very necessary line if we can get it, and ought to go on to the Mokau. LINCOLN ROAD.

The school committee held another social in aid of the school funds last Friday night, when, although the school was comfortably filled, many were kept away by the unfavorable weather. A large brake-load came from Inglewood. Among those who contributed itcmß during the evening were:— Mrs. McNeil, Miss J. Henry, Miss J. Miles, Messrs. Frank Julian, Harding, and O. Boldt. Messrs. K. P. Lawson and Frank Julian supplied excellent music, being ably assisted by Mrs. McNeil. This young lady's items were much appreciated. It is not often Lincoln road has the pleasure of hearing such talent, vocally and instrumentally. A start will soon he made with erecting the creamery here, as I see Messrs. Henwood and Metcalf have finished the well at the site, where good water wa« struck at about 28ft. depth. The roads are in fair condition considering the recent wet weather. Messrs Peterson Bros., the contractors for the Bristol road creamery, have made a start, and it is to be hoped that ere long the Bristol road creamery will be a reality. It is a great pity the contractor for the Manganui bridge had such bad luck in having three spans washed away, which was undoubtedly a great loss to him, Great sympathy is felt for him.

Feeding cows, and very little milk is the order here.

A quiet but pretty 'little wedding wag solemnised at Mr. E. Bennett's residence on the Bristol .road on Thursday last, when William, eldest son of Mr. E. Bennett, was united in the holy bonds of matrimony to Emily May Taylor, It is time some of the bachelors in this district followed suit.
