BUSINESS NOTICE.
The annual meeting of Uie Horticultural Society will be held in the Council Chambers at 7.30 p.m. this evening. All members and others interested in horticulture are invited to attend.
The annual meeting of the Taranaki Garrison Band will be held this evening in the Town Hall. All honorary members and friends are given a cordial invitation to be present. The lure of the whole world out-of-doors is very strong when the days are crisp and fresh. The only retarding influence very often is the thought that one's clothes may not be all one could wish. Messrs. Morey and Son are this day announcing in their replace advertisement some very good values in skirts for golfing and general winter wear. A reliable raincoat is a very good friend should the weather be wet. The cravenette coat being sold at the Melbourne is thoroughly showerproof, and specially designed and tailored for the Melbourne. It is cut with a roomy, easy fitting shoulder and full flowing style, is comfortable to wear, smart in appearance, and noted for its durability. The price is, as usual at the Melbourne, a very low one, viz., 39s Gd. Quantities are fairly considerable when they may be spoken of in terms of miles, and that is just what may be done with White and Sons' line of cheap ribbons. But what concerns the buyer is not extent but quality, and quality is just what the ribbo'ns do possess in a marked degree. At 4d, sd, and 6d no better value can be found. If you cannot come and see them, just write us. Our store is no further than the nearest post office. The Busy Cash Drapery Store, opposite «arnegie Library, King street, run by Messrs. Morey and Moore, is the best cash store in the Dominion for out and out bargains. Sixpenny sash ribbon all the year round. Why pay double?— Advt.
The public are becoming most fastidious about dress and appearance. You must be "just so." If your clothing doesn't fit you they talk." If it does fit you nicely, they talk, and want to know where you purchased it. You can get perfectly fitted with any garment you want to wear, best quality, at lowest cash prices, at Ambury's, Devon street.
A. ST. Morey, Central Motor Garage, Egmont street, New Plymouth.—Motor car for hire, day or night (careful, driver, 13 months' experience in Wellington). Telephone 355 (or 14, private residence, Gover street).—Advt.
