MOTOR LAUNCH BURNED. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Blenheim, Monday. A motor launch belonging to* G. Pilnior and P. Nieliolls was totally destroyed by fire in the Opawa river on Saturday through a leak in the. benzine tank. The launch was valued at £SOO, but was not insured. THE I'AHIATUA BURGLARIES. Pahiatua, Monday. A man named William John McLean and a youth named Chas. Leonard Brown have been arrested on charges arising out of a scries of burglaries on business premises on Friday "night. Nearly all the missing goods have been recovered, some in possession of the prisoners. ALLEGED EMBEZZLEMENT. Dunedin, Monday. Alexander William Ironsides, who was arrested on a charge of having stolen £7OO, the property of the Public Trusttee, has been remanded to Christchurch. When the prisoner was arrested he had C 25 in his possession.
