CORONATION DAY AND PRINCE OF WALES' BIRTHDAY. By Telegraph.—Press Association Wellington, Last Night. In reference to the observance of Coronation Day as a holiday and the .difficulty created, owing to another holiday, Prince of Wales' birthday, following, the Hon. Mr. Millar has written to Mr. Pryor, secretary of the Employers' Federation, stating that the Government cannot see its way to incorporate the Prince of Wales' birthday with the Coronation holiday, the latter being a holiday of national importance and fixed throughout the whole Empire. Although the Government does not intend to observe the Prince of Wales' birthday as a public holiday, it cannot interfere in any way with the awards of the Arbitration Court by declaring that that day shall be observed on an'dtner day, which is a national holiday, and which has been proclaimed for a specific purpose.
