SUMMARY AND FORECAST. By Telegraph. —Press Association. Wellington, Last Night. The Meteorological Office has issued the following summary and forecast: — The barometer has risen steadily to-day in southern districts, but another cyclonic disturbance has developed in the far north. Strong north-easterly winds and rain, with very low barometer, are Teported northward of Auckland, but moderate to strong southerly winds prevail elsewhere; with eloudy weather and rain in parts. Present indications are for southerly winds, increasing strong to a heavy gale, in most parts of the country; cold and stormy weather and heavy rain generally, with snow in the south. The barometer is due to rise, and is likely to be very high in three or four days' time.
