George Douglas Hay, a cyclist, was remanded at Barnct, and has confessed to shooting a motor cyclist, Paul Splitters, on the road near St. Albans, on June 6. THE VICTORIA LEAGUE. London, June 9. At the annual meeting of the Victoria League at the Mansion House Lords Selborne and Haldane paid tributes to the work of the league. Among those present were Countesses Jersey and Crewe, Ladies Northcote, Denman, and Talbot.
