Tn the House of Representatives Mr. Warburton attacked the wool tail revision, and declared that the Democrats were afraid to reduce the tariff further lest the industry be protracted and the Democrats suffer at next election. Mr. Peters defended the Democratic programme on the ground that it was not possible to lower the tariff on wool because of revenue exigencies.
