Colonel Von Ljarljarsky. with Kasandskieff, his lawyer, and two others were acquitted on a charge of murder. Captain Von Ljarljarsky mid other? were found guilty of the perpetration of fiftyseven minders, including the murder of Dr. Popoff, of Kazan, whereof a man and woman were sentenced to death, the sentence being subsequently commuted to servitude for life.
