The former, responding to a.toast, turned to the DmVager Grand Duchess oi Mecklenburg ' Strclitz, th v e late Queen Victoria's first cousin, and remarked that he felt bound to mention the pleasant impression of their recent visit to London and the kindness bestowed upon him and the Kaiserin by King George and Queen Mary. He added that King George, in a speech of great warmth, made special reference to their relations of friendship and the close connection of the two Royal houses.
