WELLINGTON EXHIBITION.
SPECIAL TRAIN FACILITIES REQUESTED. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Wellington, Last Night. Tills morning a deputation interviewed the Minister of Railways on the subject of excursion trains in connection with the exhibition. Mr. Millar was strongly urged to grant facilities to country residents to visit Wellington during the term of the exhibition. The Minister replied that he had to look after the railway revenue. He would confer with the officers, and see whether fortnightly excursion trains could be run. He thought it would be well for the exhibition authorities to approach the Minister of Education, anfi ask him whether his Department would be willing to make up any deficit on the running of special trains. Personally he would be prepared to arrange for an excursion train from Woodvile as an experiment.
