Several returned Mexicans in Lower California have planned an independent republic and are beginning a rebellion. They announce that they have no intention of relinquishing their arms. An attempt to kill Madero at a banquet at Aguas Oalientes was nipped in the bud, when the revolutionary leader suddenly left for the train under a heavy guard. The lights had been extinguished.
