Lord Kitchener, speaking at Ipswich, said when in Thibet, he, at the instance of Boer friends, sent to South Africa a dozen sacks of Thibetan wheat, imni'ine from rust. Years afterwards he was shown in South Africa a similar product called "Kitchener wheat," which was a blend between Boer and Thibetan wheat.
