XEWTOX KING'S WEEKLY REPORT. At Vrenui on Monday there was a small yarding, and bidding was quiet. Calves made lfis 3d to 21s, heifer calves 32s (id, 18-month* to 2-year heifers £3 15a, IS-months steers £3 ss, store cows £3 ls.2'/ r year steers £4 2s 6d, 4-tooth wethers 14s fid. Furniture and sundries on account of Mr. J). 0. Shute made satisfactory prices. At Stratford on Tuesday there was a good yarding, principally of grown cattle. Bidding dragged for nearly all classes, except store cows and- weaners, which fully maintained late values. Calves made 10s Ctl, good do. 28s, heifer do. 23s to li'is Od, a'/o-year to 3-year in-eaif Heifers £4 15s to £5 12s, 18-months empty heifers (Jersey strain). £4 10s, fat do £5 to £O. WEBSTER BROS.' REPORT. Mart—On Saturday last, owing to the very inclement wecther, our entry wa» very small. Prices, however, were good throughout, as follows:—Cockerels. 2s to in 2s 2d; pullets, poor, Is 8d to Is'Od; hens, Is lOd to 2s; cockerels, purebred 5s to 12s (id. Fruit.—Supplies during the week have been very fair. Apples are in keen demand. Fresh shipments of Island oranges and bananas are due on Monday, and should sell well. MATTHEWS AXD BEXXETT. Matthews and Bennett report that there was a small yarding of cattle in their Inglewood yards on Wednesday last. Prices were 'about the. same as late sales. Store cows made from £2-'l2s fid to £2 18s; heifers, £4 15s to £4 17s 0; good store cows, £3 to £3 4s Cd.

Store cattle—Yearlinu's made 20s, 15 to IS-months £2 18s (id to £3, 2-vear rteers £4 12s lid, dry cows 34s fid to £4 10s. flood dairy cows were in demand, and made £3 10s to £0 15s. A small yarding of Hore pigs met with little demand, medium sorts making 14s to 18s, small 8s to 12s. weaners 2s to fis, larger 8s 3d.

BURXSIDE. At Burnside stock market there was a yarding of 21! l head of fat cattle, and us several of the large butchers are out of the market at present, prices were from 15s to 20s per head lower than last week. Quotations: Best bullocks £lO 5s to U2, extra heavy bullocks to £l3 •»1, medium bullocks CS 10s to £0 ss, hest heifers £8 15s to £1) 17s Cd, medium £7 to £8 ss. Fat sheep—4l7B, consisting mostly of ewes, with a few pens of good wethers, iind as freezing buyers were operating freely, best wethers were Is per head better, while medium wethers and ewes sold at last week's rates. Quotations: Best wethers to 20s, extra heavy wethers to 22s fid. medium lfis to 18s. liirlit lis to 15s fid, hist ewes 15s (id to His'lid, extra heavy to 20s 3.1. medium lis Cd to 12s fid. l'at lambs-2004 yarded. A fair yarding, but the quality was not quite so good as last week, and freezing buyers operated on the same basis as fast sale. WAxcAxrr. Messrs Dalgety and Co. report:—At the Wanganui sale we yarded 2000 sheep, of which we sold 1050 at prices on a nar. with late ruling rates. We had a fair yarding of cattle, for which there was practically no demand. We quote: For-' ward mixed ewes and wethers 12s Bd, 2-tooth wethers lis 7d, store ewes os lOd, mixed lambs (medium quality) 5s Bd, cull lambs 2s, fat cows £6 10s, Hol-stein-cross heifers £4, dairy heifers £4 to £4 17s lid, dairy cows £4 to £8 Bs, weaners £1 3s to £1 ss.

JOIIXSOXVILLE. Messrs Abraham and Williams, Ltd., report:—We offered a good entry of bullocks and sheep, which were sold readily at ruling rates. Prime ox £9 17s Od to £lO ss, lighter £9 10s to £1 15s, light £fl to £9 ss, vealers 39s to £2 Is, good wethers 17s, prime wethers 14s 8d to 15s Id, good ewes 14s 5d to 14s Od, plain 12s lOd to 13s, ewes in lamb Bs.
