NEW ZEALAND RUGBY UNION. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Wellington, Last Night. The management committee of the New Zealand Rugby Union met to-night.: A team of Te Aute College Old boys ; asked permission to tour New South j Wales.—lt was decided that they be informed that the committee could not accede to the request, but they be recommended to renew the request next season. T. Parata askd permission for the Maori team which toured Australia last year to play a few matches in the North Island of New Zealand.—lt was decided to ask for particulars as to whether the team proposed to tour as representing the Bay of Plenty Union, decision being meanwhile deferred. The Nelson Union asked for a loan. —lt was decided to reply that no funds are available. THE ASSOCIATION GAME. Wellington, Last Night. The council of the New Zealand Football Association met to-night. It was decided that the matter of a visit from a New South Wales team be deferred till the end of the season, when the question will be considered with a view of arranging a tour next year. A communication from'the New Plymouth Club complaining about the manner in which the affairs of the Taranaki Association were managed was referred back to the club, the meeting holding that communications from clubs should lie forwarded to the council through the governing association. The Manawatu Association notified that it had arranged for a match with Wanganni to be played on June 3, and asking the council's permission for a game to take plage.—The application was granted. It was decided to ask the Canterbury Association to arrange a date for its match with Otago and to notify it that a challenge for the Brown Shield had been received from Manawatu. It was decided that 5 per cent, of the net proceeds of the Canterbury-Otago match be retained by the council, and that the New Zealand Referoes' Association be asked to appoint officials. Okato will be represented by the following against Rovers tomorrow.—H. Corbett, H. Martin, E. Malone, Sullivan, Kupi, Anderson, J. Rothory, Power, Stewart, Greenway, Carey, E. Andrews, C. Eustace, Rua and Poe!
