THE CORONATION.
NEW PLYMOUTH CELEBRATIONS. The Finance Committee of the New Plymouth Borough Council has decided to convene a meeting of persons interested to be held in the Town Hall to-night at 7.30 to make arrangements for celebrating Coronation Day, and has drawn up the following draft programme for the consideration of the meeting:— (1) Procession of band, territorials, veterans, cadets, local bodies, trades, etc. (2) Ceremony of laying foundation stone of Coronation Memorial. (3).. Unfurling the flag and united church service in Recreation Grounds. (4) Torchlight procession by Firo Brigade in the evening. Representatives of all public institutions are invited to be present at the meeting.
