Frederick Allen Richards was found guilty of the alleged theft o! ten sheep. The jury recommended leniency, and sentence will be passed tomorrow morning. Reginald Reidy, alias Willie Peters, was found not guilty of arson at Ohakune. LIBEL ACTION. Timaru, Last Night In the libel case, Peter Bowkcr, fishmonger, who claimed £2OO from the Timaru Post Company on account of an advertisement warning people to give Bowkfer no credit, the judge awarded £ls damages and costs £l7.
