The river I'aimar overflowed its banks near Stuttgart and swept a way six houses. Twelve persons were drowned, including a family of six. Four were drowned at Heidelberg, while several children are missing. THOUSANDS OF BIRDS KILLED. WOKKMEN IN.IURED. « Received 31, 10.40 p.m. Brussels, May 31. Hailstorms killed thousands of birds. Fourteen workmen sheltering in a shed in the irons district were struck by lightning. All were seriously injured.
