OBJECTED TO IX SYDNEY. By Cable—Press Association—Copyright Sydney, May 30. A meeting of the Shopkeepers' Defence Association resolved to ask the Government to repeal the Early Closing Act, especially the portion relating to the compulsory half-holiday. It was stated that the Act was driving small shopkeepers out of business.
