LEPPERTON RAILWAY STATION.
To the Editor. Sir,—Would you kindly allow me a little, space to bring under the notice of the Railway Department the serious obstruction which exists just at the main gate coming out at the Leppcrton Juneturn station. There is a small strip of railway land between the main road fence, and the'failway v siding, and this has been fenced in, it appears, for the purpose of a private stockyard, and the fence has been, erected too. close to the entrance gate, with the result that "there is not suffcient room to allow the dra# or waggon to clear the gate in coming out. It would only require about four posts to be shifted to give sufficient access and enable waggons to turn, and also to'give better access to the siding, which is now partly blocked. As- it appears the ground is only used' as a stockyard for milking purposes, there should be ample room left and would be a great convenience to some of us carting to and from the station, and would give better access to the siding and minimise the risk of a capsize. Thanking you in anticipation.—l am. etc., JAMES CARTER. Lepperton, May 29.
