THE INSURANCE BILL.

LABOR PARTY'S MISGIVINGS. By Cable—Press Association—Copyright London, May 25. Mr. G. N. Barnes, M.P., says that the Labor Party in the House of Commons has some misgivings as to the continued efficiency of trades unions under the Insurance Bill. He would support its second reading, but his future action would be largely determined by alterations made in committee. The Labor Party was unable to agree to the clause depriving trades unions of the full control of their funds. The Labor Party would also insist that unemployed benefits should be distributed through the trades unions.
