ATTEMPTED MURDER AND SUICIDE. By Cable—Press Association—Copyright. St. Petersburg, May 23. Kurtz, a German, married MorosofT, a wealthy widow, in lflOfl. They had many quarrels, and yesterday he fired three revolver shots at his wife, who was taken to the hospital. Kurtz barricaded the doors, poured petroleum 011 the furniture, and set fire to the house. He then harangued the crowd which had collected from a balcony, and ended by shooting himself in public as the house was enveloped in flames.
