Dr. Mawson has purchased the 38(»-ton boat Aurora, which was specially built for ice work and has been hitherto employed as a Newfoundland whaler. 'She will arrive on .Tune 8, and will be refitted as a barquentine. The Port of London authorities will remit the dues and give free wharfage. The Daily Mail fund amounts to £IO,OOO.
