In the Assembly, during the censure debate, Mr. Storey, leader of the Independents, announced that his party objected to some of the Government's proposals. but was willing to give them a show. He appealed for the creation of a moderate party drawn from both sides of the House to carry on the Government.
TESTING LAND TAX ACT. Received 24, 1 a.m. Melbourne, Last Xiglit. The Full High Court has commenced the hearing of Osborne versus the Commonwealth, for the purpose of testing the Land Tax and Land Tsi.v Assessment Act.
