THE DAVIS CUP. By Telegraph. —Press Association. Wellington, La9t Night. At a meeting of the management committee of the New Zealand Lawn {Tennis Association to-night, a letter was received from the Australian Lawn Tennis Association asking that a place be recommended where the Davis Cup is to be played. The committee decided to call a special meeting of the council for .lune 27, at which the New Zealand Association will lie consulted ii]-(iii the matter. The associn turns in the four chief centres arc being written to for information as to the su'l:it)itity of each place. The Australian Association asks for a match court i' id two separate practice courts for cos ■■■ eting teams to practise on, and enquiri - the estimated cost of stands to hold fli!!!0 people and the cost of preparation and rental of grounds. Dr. "W. V. Eaves was appointed New Zealand delegate to the AH England Lawn Tennis Association.
