A WALKING RECORD. Ry Cable—Press Association—Copyright. London, May 21. Schofield walked 25 nines at Heme Hill in -217 minutes 7 seconds—a world's record. " UNFAITHFUL" DKLIX-ATES. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Wellington, Last Night. At a special meeting of the council of the New 'Zealand Amateur Athletic Association held to-night, A. Marryatt and J. H. Pollock, representatives of the Otago centre, handed in their resignations. This action is the outcome of Otago's resentment at the action of the delegates in voting Wellington as the place to hold the Australian championships, contrary to the instruction of the Otago centre. The Otago centre passed a resolution revoking the appointment of Messrs Marryatt and Pollock as delegates, and although they helieve the centre has no power to do this, they regard the resolution as a vote of want of confidence and prefer to resign. Their resignations were accepted and the delegates were thanked for their services to amateur athletics.
