INDUSTRIAL CONDITIONS.

To the Editor.

Sir,—We would like to call public attention to the system of booming New Zealand in the English papers and of inducing men to come here for work. We, the undersigned, have been in this country a month, and have not been able to find work yet. We have come from Wellington to New Plymouth, and called at several places on the way. We arc willing to take work of any kind, but have had no opportunity to do so, and arc obliged to rake the road to Auckland.— We are, etc., HERBERT HEWSON. ALLEN HEWSON.
