WELLINGTON EXHIBITION.
A BIG AFFAIR. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Wellington, Monday. The Industrial Association Exhibition will open here on Wednesday in order to introduce goods made in New Zealand to the consuming public. There is a wonderful display and range of articles, quite equal itful in some respects superior to similar goods imported. The floor *pace is nearly 80,000 square feet, compared with 42.000 square feet at the ISOfi exhibition. The sports stadium is a strong feature, providing an area for competitions of 2-W feet by 88 feet, and seating over a thousand spectators. Boxing, tennis, bowling, athletic and other displays are announced. The theatre will hold an audience of over 800 persons, and has already been leased to English entertainers. The art gallery contains a fine collection of pictures. There will be music on the opening day by a strong mule choir, Mr. Robert Parker directing. Lectures on nursine. cooking and other subjects will be delivered in connection with the exhibits. The space was much over applied for, and was not sufficient for all intending exhibitors.
