Cheshire,- Yorkshire and Derbyshire branches of the Tariff Reform League, held a demonstration at Mancluster. Advantage ought to be taken of the Imperial Conference to make some satisfactory offer to Canada and tlie other oversea dominion-. Hi' still believed it was the only way the Empire could be strengthened and kent together.
