Mr. C. Carter, chairman of directors of the Taranaki Petroleum Co., will probably leave on the 2nd or 3rd prox. for London, in connection with the transference of the company's property to the English syndicate that has purchased the company's interests. Work at the bores is proceeding satisfactorily. Oil is llowing from both Nog. 2 and 3 bores. "We may well hope now to nee the oil industry advance 'with leap* mid bounds,' and our one hope in seeing its new owners is that those who have bravely fought for years may reap a full and golden harvest, for they richly deserve it."—lnglewood Record."
