LABOR TROUBLES.

A COLLIERY SHUT DOWN. By Cable—Press Association—Copyright Sydney, May 20. Owing to a dispute between the Cobar Copper Company and the Railway Commissioners, one colliery at Lithgow has been shut down. Unless the dispute is settled in a few days other works, involving a suspension of 10,000 men, will be closed. The company alleges that owing to faulty scales the Commissioners charged excessive freights, and refused to pay. The Commissioners decline to handle goods except on a cash basis.
