SEAMEN UNIONISTS.
ADOPT A NOVEL IDEA. By Cable—Preas Association—Copyright. Received 21, 5.5 p.m. London, May 20. . A protest against the refusal of the Shipping Federation to admit seamen having any grievances requiring present discussion, the National Seamen's Union js arranging for holiday camps lasting a fortnight. It is expected 7000 seamen from various ports will join the camps.
The seamen's officials denied that the movement was a strike, although it' might develop* into one at any moment.
