TIIE TAUAXAKI COMPANY. No word bus yet been received by the directors of the Taranuki Petroleum Co. from Mr. J. I). Henry's people. Sales of shares at Ilia Ud to 17s 3(1 were made yesterday in New Plymouth, with an unsatisfied demand, holders showing a disposition to hold 011 to then shares. Another consignment of crude oil is being forwarded to Auckland. Xo. 5 bore has now been eased to the bottom. Work at this and the other bores is proceeding satisfactorily.
