SUMMARY AND .FORECAST. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Wellington, Last Night. The weather-summary and forecast are as follows:—Southerly winds, strong to gale, have prevailed northward of Capo Campbell and Farewell Spit, with much rain in parts, especially on the East Coast and southern districts of the North Island. . The weather has continued cold and fine on the West Coast of the South Island, but unsettled and showery in other parts. Little change is reported in the barometer. The present indications are for a slowly rising barometer in the North, but a fall soon elsewhere. Southerly winds, backing to westerly, will prevail northward of Cape Farewell and Kaikoura, and westerly, moderate to strong, elsewhere. Showery and changeable weather is probable generally. ______
