The borough council decided to-night to request the manager of the Opera House to run through the plans for municipal pictures before exhibition. The Rev. North recently stated that there was municipal censorship here. This is the first appearance of it. The film is hired, and occasionally only ar rives immediately before a performance, so that the provision cannot always bi carried out. At the borough council meeting a re quest was received through the postal department for Palmcrston, Otago, asking that the name "Palmcrston North" be changed to avoid confusion. The council resolved against any change of name here on the grounds of dislocation of business. It was suggested that Palmerston South should change its name. THE ACTINO-PREMIER. Waipawa, Thursday. Mr. Carroll opened the new post office at Taknpau yesterday, and Mr. Hall, M.P., opened the school. The weather was wet. Mr. Carroll was entertained at luncheon.
