THE KING AT DRURY LANE.

A BRILLIANT AFFAIR. By Cable—Press Association—Copyright Received 18, 9.30 p.m. London, May 18. The command performance at Dniry Lane was a brilliant affair. White cloth, with golden fringe, festoons and crimson flowers, adorned the boxes, which were outlined with real red tulips. The stalls were decorated with carnations. Their Majesties occupied a special box, half of the dress circle. The display of jewels by the ladies was wonderful. Seymour painted a special surprise curtain, depicting the King and Kaiser with peace hovering above. Bancroft stage-managed the play.
