SUMMARY AND FORECAST.
• By Telegraph.—*res» Association. Wellington, Last Night. . The weather summary and forecast are as follows:—The barometer has falleli everywhere and the weather has been unsettled and stormy in many parts of the North Island under the influence of a cyclone passing eastward of East Cape. Heavy rain has fallen on the East Coast and the rivers are flooded. Seas are heavy between the East Cape and Kaikonra. Fair weather has prevailed in the South. Present indications are for a falling barometer everywhere, with high southerly winds backing to westerly northward of New Plymouth and Castlepoint, and strong westerly and northerly winds elsewhere. Rain is protable generally. A low pressure area is due to pass in the South on Sunday.
